In a basketball game, an overtime is introduced when there is a tie between the teams at the end of the regular time. The regular time is made up of 4 quarters. Every quarter is played for 12 minutes. After the 4th quarter, when the points between both teams are the same (as in tie or a draw), the overtime period is introduced. The overtime is played for a period of 5minutes. After the overtime is exhausted, a winning decision will be decided based on the points margin between the two teams.
On the MSport platform, there are market options that do not have the overtime period attached to it while other do have it. A punter will be so confident that his or her market won based on the scores made available to him on other live scores platforms. Upon investigation, the agent will notice that his market option was on the home team to win in a game. But upon checks, the agent will notice his selection was a lost game because the home team won after the overtime period and the user’s selection did not include that.
